PES & T was established in 1967 by our dynamic founder, late Dr. A. M. Shaikh, an IAS officer who retired as the Deputy Commissioner of Belgaum. A great scholar, an outstanding administrator, and an ardent Homoeopath, he belonged to a generation that “dared to dream”.
His vision was transformed into reality in 1967 with the establishment of A. M. Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College, which has the distinction of:
a) Being the 1st Homoeopathic Medical College in the state of Karnataka and
b) Being the “first ever college” in India to be awarded ISO Certification in 1996.
Dr. A. M. Shaikh has left us a rich legacy of quality education, dedication & philanthropy. Notable amongst them being – Quality treatment provided to many needy patients at reasonable rate at A. M. Shaikh Homoeopathic Hospital and providing an opportunity for students from different sections of society to pursue the study in the field of Homoeopathic Medicine.
Dr. A M Shaikh’ s service to humanity as a pioneering homoeopath has benefitted thousands of people belonging to all strata of society.
We, the “ Shaikhian family ” pay homage to Dr. Shaikh & pledge to continuously strive to take forward our institutions to become leaders in the courses offered & into becoming a vibrant and dynamic organization — inspired by Dr. A. M. Shaikh’s example of “SERVICE TO SOCIETY”.
